Ways to Cut Down on Household Spending

Our friends over at WalletPop are featuring a post on simple ways to cut down on household expenses. From simple reminders like unplugging idle electronic devices to buying in bulk at the grocery store, these tips are a good way to start thinking economically.

BillShrink.com also has a good article titled “Stop Wasting your Money on these 25 Things.” While some of their suggestions are pretty obvious (like “don’t get parking tickets”),  it’s always good to get a reminder of how much it costs to pay your credit card late ($39!). Lists like this are great because they can help plant the seeds of budgeting and conscious spending.
