You’ll have to forgive us for a bit of self-indulgence, but we’re pretty psyched to once again have an ad up on USAToday.com:

Luckily the celebs are making it easy on us, as the list of celebrities who’ve mismanaged their finances continues to grow by the day:

  • Hélio Castroneves, the Brazilian-born IndyCar driver who’s perhaps best known for winning Dancing with the Stars, is currently embroiled in a federal tax-evasion trial. The IRS is accusing Castroneves of attempting to evade taxes on roughly $5 million worth of sponsorship money. Incidentally, the two-time Indy 500 winner has yet to even receive the income in question- the IRS’ case against him centers on the assertion that he never intended to pay taxes on it at all.
  • Former NFL Running Back Travis Henry might serve as an ideal poster child for how financial illiteracy (not to mention a complete disregard for birth control) can ruin a person’s life. This 2nd round draft pick from 2001 now finds himself in jail for missing payments on his $17,000/month child support tab-this despite signing a $25 million contract in 2007.
  • Last (and probably least) is Kerry Katona, the British reality TV show “star”. Katona and her husband have reportedly blown through £3 million in sponsorship money over the past two years. Instead of, say, investing the money or putting it in savings, the couple “bought a fleet of cars including a Ferrari 430 Spider, a Lamborghini, Porsches, Range Rovers, Aston Martins and BMWs – plus two Ducati motorbikes.” And you thought Mike Tyson was dumb.
